About Urban Feline Australia
Urban Feline Australia is a newly established cat rescue and rehoming service that is dedicated to keeping cats out of kill shelters and helping them find loving forever homes.
We specialize in helping "surrenders" which are cats that have lived with humans previously but for one reason or another their owners are unfortunately no longer able to look after them. We take your pets into our homes where they are treated with love and affection until the right forever home is found for them. No matter how long this takes.
Urban Feline Australia is not a large company with a lot of resources. We don't receive government funding and we don't have a big facility with a lot of staff. Our rescue is owned and operated by one passionate individual, from their own home, with the help of a small but amazing network of volunteer foster carers.
We rely heavily on cooperation from friends, other rescues, our amazing foster carers and the kindness of strangers to survive. Every cent we receive from donations and adoption fees is used to keep our rescue running and cover the cost of food, water, litter, equipment and vet bills for the animals in our care.
We do this for the love of animals and our only agenda is to save as many lives as we can.
We have been operating for around 4 years now and have managed to find homes for almost 450 homeless cats and counting.
