This handsome little gentleman is Murphy and he's on the lookout for his new forever home.

He was well loved by his previous family but sadly they needed to travel and could not take him with them so they reached out to us to find him a new forever family. He comes from a loving home and has a lot of love to give.

He can be quite shy at first and will take some time settling into his new home but once he finds his confidence his beautiful personality will begin to shine through and you'll find yourself with a sweet and affectionate little gentleman on your hands.

When he first arrives in his new home he will most likely find a spot to hide during the day and come out in the evening. He's definitely a night owl.

When he's out and about he has a very playful and cheeky personality and loves his laser toy and will happily chase a ball or play with a string or wand toy. He can be mischievous and likes to climb furniture to spy on the household from up high.

He also loves human company. He enjoys a pat and a scratch, enjoys a cuddle and can be very sweet when he's feeling affectionate.

Murphy grew up with other cats so he is very cat social and has been enjoying he company of the cat in his foster home. They can often be found sitting by the window watching the birds or cuddled up together having a snooze.

He also comes from an indoor / outdoor household and loves the outdoors where he can chase butterflies and hang out in the garden, so it would be great if we could find him a home that could provide him with outdoor access.

Murphy is a quirky little gentleman with a cheeky personality and a lot of love to give. He's very much a big kid who likes to get into mischief and has a lot of energy to burn.

He would be well suited to a busy household with a lot of people who could give him plenty of attention and provide a lot of stimulation.

He's generally very chilled out and relaxed during the day but bounces around like an acrobat in the evening, so an environment where he can burn off some of that energy is a must if you value your sleep lol.

Murphy is approximately 7 years old and has been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and is available for adoption right meow.

A little about us:

Urban Feline Australia is a newly established cat rescue service, run by one passionate individual with the help of friends and volunteers, that is dedicated to keeping cats out of kill shelters and helping them find loving forever homes. We specialize in helping "surrenders" which are cats that have lived with humans previously but for one reason or another their owners are unfortunately no longer able to look after them. We take your pets into our amazing cat sanctuary where they're treated with love and affection until the right forever home is found for them.

Urban Feline Australia is not a large company with government resources, a large facility and a lot of staff. Our tiny rescue is a one man operation run from the safety of our own home. We do this for the love of animals and our only agenda is to save as many cats as we can. We rely heavily on cooperation from friends, other rescues, our amazing foster carers and the kindness of strangers to survive. Every cent we receive from donations and adoption fees is used to keep our rescue running and cover the cost of food, water, litter, equipment and vet bills for the animals in our care.

We are doing as much as we can right now but our dream is to one day be able to purchase a larger property or facility that would allow us to be able to save the lives of many more cats in need. Perhaps even open a cat cafe so that we can spread our message to a wider audience.
