About Lily
***WE'RE ALWAYS ON THE LOOKOUT FOR FOSTER CARERS TO HELP US OUT SO IF YOU THINK YOU CAN PROVIDE A TEMPORARY HOME FOR ONE OF OUR BEAUTIFUL CATS PLEASE LET US KNOW. THE MORE CARERS WE HAVE AVAILABLE TO LEND A HAND THE MORE CATS WE CAN HELP REHOME***
This beautiful little lady is named Lily and she's on the lookout for her new forever home.
She was adopted from a shelter and had been living in a loving home for the past few months, but unfortunately things didn't work out as planned. She was adopted as a companion for the family's young daughter but unfortunately it turns out that she's not a fan of young kids. Lily was spending her days hiding in the bedroom and only coming out once the scary child went to bed, so her family decided it was best to find her a child-free home and reached out to us for help.
Lily is now sharing a foster home with two male cats (2yo), a small senior dog and a young teenager. She has adapted beautifully and within just a few days she has confidently explored the house and found some favourite places to sleep, and she is not hiding away at all. Lily was initially unsure about the dog but quickly worked out he was not going to bother her. She has been curious towards the two resident cats and tries to initiate play with them, despite being much smaller. One of them is willing to play and they happily play chasey with each other, alternating the roles of chased and chaser!
Lily had been previously tried with other cats but, as a tiny little lady, she seemed to find them intimidating and hid. However, this is not the case in her current foster home, so we feel Lily would be happy to share her forever home with another young and social cat who is friendly and likes to play (but not too rough). This would be stimulating for her and help her to burn off some kitten energy.
Lily is friendly towards her foster carers (yes, even the teenager!) and likes a pat and to be played with, although not much of a fan of being picked up yet. As she settles in and relaxes she has become sweet, affectionate and very loving. She loves a pat and a scratch, will curl up on your lap while you're watching TV and apparently loves to snooze the night away in bed with you!
Lily is a very low maintenance, easy to look after and adorable little angel. She does a cute little meow when she wants your attention. She just doesn't like young kids. But give her a lap to curl up on and you've got a friend for life.
We would love to find Lily a quiet home with no young kids and a family who can give her the time and love she needs to blossom and thrive. A household with a young professional or couple who work from home and love to kick back and watch TV would be absolutely perfect. A feline playmate who is friendly and playful could be the icing on the cake!

Lily is approximately 10 months old and has been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and is available for adoption right meow.

A little about us:
Urban Feline Australia is a newly established cat rescue service, run by one passionate individual with the help of friends and volunteers, that is dedicated to keeping cats out of kill shelters and helping them find loving forever homes. We specialize in helping "surrenders" which are cats that have lived with humans previously but for one reason or another their owners are unfortunately no longer able to look after them. We take your pets into our amazing cat sanctuary where they're treated with love and affection until the right forever home is found for them.
Urban Feline Australia is not a large company with government resources, a large facility and a lot of staff. Our tiny rescue is a one man operation run from the safety of our own home. We do this for the love of animals and our only agenda is to save as many cats as we can. We rely heavily on cooperation from friends, other rescues, our amazing foster carers and the kindness of strangers to survive. Every cent we receive from donations and adoption fees is used to keep our rescue running and cover the cost of food, water, litter, equipment and vet bills for the animals in our care.
We are doing as much as we can right now but our dream is to one day be able to purchase a larger property or facility that would allow us to be able to save the lives of many more cats in need. Perhaps even open a cat cafe so that we can spread our message to a wider audience.
We have recently created a Go Fund Me towards this end so if you would like to donate towards our cause you can find it by searching for Urban Feline Australia.
Otherwise please check out our social media to learn a bit more about what we do.
