Seeking a special home for a pair of special cats.
If you're looking for a pair of farm cats who are a nice mix of aloof and affectionate then these beautiful souls are the cats for you.
These little guys turned up in someone's yard one day and basically never left. When they first arrived they were very scared of people but with time, love and patience their confidence improved and they were eventually able to be handled.
They would come running when called, rub up against their legs and were happy to have pats, scratches and cuddles.
These amazing people actually turned their outdoor balcony area in to a big cat enclosure and that's where they happily lived. Oh and they gave them the best names:
"Mr Tabby Pants" &
"Dad Not Mum" - they thought he was female 🤣
Unfortunately these people could not keep them themselves and after trying unsuccessfully to find them new homes they reached out to us to see if we would be happy to take them on.
We don't normally take on wild cats but as these little angels had already been socialized and had become very sweet and affectionate we were not expecting to have any problems finding them a new home.
Unfortunately since they arrived in our care they have shut down and shown no signs of improving. They hide under the couch all day and only come out in the evening once it's dark and everyone has gone to bed. They want noting to do with people and will hiss if you try to interact with them. They're obviously still very scared.
They don't seem to like indoor life and seem to be really missing that outdoor access they had before. We would love to find them a home on a farm or with someone that can provide them with secure outdoor access in an enclosure type structure.
They would make the best farm cats!
They are very animal social and would be fine around other cats and dogs.
We are very confident that once they are in the right environment their beautiful personalities will reassert themselves you'll find yourself with two sweet affectionate cats on your hands.
They may not ever truly become indoor cats but they are they type that would happily live in your shed and or carport and come have pats and cuddles when you're around.
They're advertised for $100 but we would be happy to accept whatever you can afford. Our priority is that they find a good home that's suitable for them.
If you think you might be a good fit please send us a message and we'll be more than happy to have a chat to discuss.
Mr Tabby Pants is approximately 15 months old
Dad Not Mum is approximately 3 years old.
Both these little gentleman have been desexed, vaccinated and microchipped and are otherwise healthy. They're just very shy.
Located in Rowville.
To express your interest please send us a message with your details and we will give you a call as soon as we can to discuss.
A little about us:
Urban Feline Australia is a newly established cat rescue service, run by one passionate individual with the help of friends and volunteers, that is dedicated to keeping cats out of kill shelters and helping them find loving forever homes. We specialize in helping "surrenders" which are cats that have lived with humans previously but for one reason or another their owners are unfortunately no longer able to look after them. We take your pets into our amazing cat sanctuary where they're treated with love and affection until the right forever home is found for them.
Urban Feline Australia is not a large company with government resources, a large facility and a lot of staff. Our tiny rescue is a one man operation run from the safety of our own home. We do this for the love of animals and our only agenda is to save as many cats as we can. We rely heavily on cooperation from friends, other rescues, our amazing foster carers and the kindness of strangers to survive. Every cent we receive from donations and adoption fees is used to keep our rescue running and cover the cost of food, water, litter, equipment and vet bills for the animals in our care.
We are doing as much as we can right now but our dream is to one day be able to purchase a larger property or facility that would allow us to be able to save the lives of many more cats in need. Perhaps even open a cat cafe so that we can spread our message to a wider audience.
We have recently created a Go Fund Me towards this end so if you would like to donate towards our cause please follow the below link.
