Munchkin Loves Apartment Living !

Munchkin is a sweet, gentle, and well-behaved young lady currently looking for her perfect forever home — preferably a calm apartment with a secure balcony.

After trying a couple of different foster environments, it quickly became clear that Munchkin thrives best in a cozy, quiet apartment setting. She loves the safety and comfort of smaller spaces and enjoys keeping a watchful eye over pot plants by patrolling for moths and flies.

Munchkin is an easy-going and considerate companion. She won’t wake you at 4am for breakfast, hog the bed, or walk across your keyboard. Instead, she patiently waits until you’re up before asking for her meals. She sleeps neatly at the end of the bed (occasionally playing with toes if they move too much), and she’s very tidy with both her food and litter. Her only real “must-have” is a good scratching post and her favourite treat-dispensing ball, which provides gentle entertainment.

She enjoys being in the same room as her human and is happy to keep you company from a respectful distance, though she’s not a lap cat. You’ll often hear her soft, sweet purr and adorable little squeaky snore when she’s fast asleep.

Like many cats, Munchkin can be a little nervous around new situations or loud noises. She may retreat to hide at first but will usually return to investigate once she feels safe. She communicates her boundaries politely — often gently moving your hand away with her paw when she’s had enough patting or brushing. If the message isn’t received, she may give a light swat as a final warning.

Munchkin would be an excellent companion for a retired person, a professional who works from home, or anyone seeking a calm, low-maintenance feline roommate in a quiet apartment. She does best in a peaceful, adult-only home where she can have her own space while still enjoying quiet companionship.

Munchkin is 4.5 years old and has been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, and is ready for adoption right meow.

About Us

Urban Feline Australia is a small, independent cat rescue dedicated to saving surrendered cats from kill shelters and finding them loving, permanent homes.

Founded and run by a passionate animal lover with the support of dedicated friends and volunteers, we specialise in caring for cats that have previously lived in family homes but, for various reasons, can no longer stay with their owners.

Since our inception, we have been fortunate to build a small but dedicated network of volunteer foster carers. These compassionate individuals welcome the surrendered cats into their homes, providing them with love, care, and a safe environment while we search for their perfect forever families.

As a tiny, grassroots rescue with no government funding or large facilities, every rescue is powered by compassion, community support, and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.

All adoption fees and donations go directly toward the essential needs of the cats in our care — including premium food, veterinary treatment, litter, equipment, and ongoing medical support. We rely heavily on the generosity of our foster carers, volunteers, and supporters to continue our work.

Our long-term vision is to expand so we can help even more cats in need. This includes securing a larger dedicated property and, one day, possibly opening a cat café to raise awareness and funds while creating a welcoming space for cat lovers.
