About Lenny
This handsome little gentleman has a sweet and gentle nature and a big heart with a lot of love to give.
Lenny was well loved by his previous family but sadly this gentle giant can become quite anxious when there are changes to his home. Unfortunately the stress of the two young kids arriving was too much for Lenny to handle so his people made the tough decision to find him a new home where he could kick back, relax and be himself once again.
He comes from a loving household and has a lot of love to give.
Lenny can be a little shy at first but once he gets to know you he becomes the ultimate smoocher who loves pats, loves cuddles and just always wants to be around people. He really is a SUUUUUUPER smooch.
Since arriving in his foster home he has become a completely different cat. All his stress has been forgotten and his beautiful and affectionate personality has begun to shine through very quickly and in a big way. He has been the perfect little gentleman.
When Lenny is in the mood for attention he will rub up against your legs and give you very firm head bumps that will almost knock you over, there is that much love behind them. He can also be very vocal and will literally say hello when you come home and start asking you for pats.
He also has the best manners at night time. He does not scratch on the door wanting to get out and will not wake you up demanding food, instead he will wait patiently for you to get up in the morning and feed him his breakfast. He does however love his food and will become very excited at dinner and breakfast time, often jumping up on the bench to make sure you're preparing his food correctly.
Lenny loves a pat and a scratch, loves to curl up next to you on the couch and will happily jump up on the bed and have a cuddle with you if you let him. He also LOOOOOVES to be brushed and is very good at rolling over to make sure that you can brush both sides of his glorious coat.
He is also trained to walk on a lead and a harness and loves his outdoor time so we would love to find him a home where he could sniff around while you're hanging out the washing or pottering in the garden.
As Lenny has a history of being anxious we would love to find him a nice quiet home where he can kick back, relax and snooze the day away. He would be the perfect fit for a retiree who is looking for an affectionate and cuddly cat to sit on their lap.
He is used to being around other cats as he lived with another cat previously, so a home with another cat-freindly cat would be ok, but he does seem to be very happy being the only cat in his foster home.

Because Lenny is naturally quite an anxious little guy and he has unfortunately lived quite a stressful life he is currently taking Clomav once a day to help with his anxiety. Just like a person that takes an antidepressant. He happily eats this rolled up in some meat or cheese. Sometimes when he gets very anxious he can have trouble peeing but a dose of Meloxicam will sort this out quickly. Kind of like a person who takes an anti-inflammatory when they have an old knee injury flare up after a hard days work.
We're hopeful that once her finds his perfect home, ideally on someones lap, his anxiety will disappear and he will no longer need the medication.
Lenny is approximately 7 years old and has been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and is available for adoption right meow.
If you think you have the room in your heart and your home to provide this gorgeous little soul with a great life please let us know and we’ll be more than happy to arrange a time for you to meet and fall in love with him.

A little about us:
Urban Feline Australia is a newly established cat rescue service, run by one passionate individual with the help of friends and volunteers, that is dedicated to keeping cats out of kill shelters and helping them find loving forever homes. We specialize in helping "surrenders" which are cats that have lived with humans previously but for one reason or another their owners are unfortunately no longer able to look after them. We take your pets into our amazing cat sanctuary where they're treated with love and affection until the right forever home is found for them.
Urban Feline Australia is not a large company with government resources, a large facility and a lot of staff. Our tiny rescue is a one man operation run from the safety of our own home. We do this for the love of animals and our only agenda is to save as many cats as we can. We rely heavily on cooperation from friends, other rescues, our amazing foster carers and the kindness of strangers to survive. Every cent we receive from donations and adoption fees is used to keep our rescue running and cover the cost of food, water, litter, equipment and vet bills for the animals in our care.
We are doing as much as we can right now but our dream is to one day be able to purchase a larger property or facility that would allow us to be able to save the lives of many more cats in need. Perhaps even open a cat cafe so that we can spread our message to a wider audience.
We have recently created a Go Fund Me towards this end so if you would like to donate towards our cause you can find it by searching for Urban Feline Australia.
Otherwise please check out our social media to learn a bit more about what we do.

***WE'RE ALWAYS ON THE LOOKOUT FOR FOSTER CARERS TO HELP US OUT SO IF YOU THINK YOU CAN PROVIDE A TEMPORARY HOME FOR ONE OF OUR BEAUTIFUL CATS PLEASE LET US KNOW. THE MORE CARERS WE HAVE AVAILABLE TO LEND A HAND THE MORE CATS WE CAN HELP REHOME***
Medical notes
As he is an anxious little guy Lenny currently takes Clomav once a day which he happily eats rolled up in some meat and cheese. Sometimes when Lenny becomes super anxious he can struggle to pee but this is easily fixed with a dose of Meloxicam.

Adoption details
We try to make things very easy and straight forward while at the same time making sure we are matching the right cat to the right home.
The first step in the adoption process is a quick chat over the phone to make you are able meet the cats needs and your home is a good fit for the cats personality.
From there we will organize a meet and greet the cats foster home where you will be able to see the cat in action and get a gauge of their personality.
Once you have adopted you new furry feline friend we offer ongoing support and you are welcome to contact us anytime if you have questions, concerns or need advice.
We work hard to make sure that each cat is a good fit for their new home but in the unlikely even that things do not work out we have a 21 day cooling off period and you are more than welcome to return the cat to us during that time.
We will happily refund 50% of the adoption fee or you are welcome to donate this refund to assist with the ongoing cost of the animals care.
