About Leonard The Chatty Gentleman
Lenny: The Sweet, Chatty Gentleman Who’s Looking for His Perfect Feline Bestie! 🐱❤️
Meet Leonard AKA Lenny, a gorgeous 7-year-old domestic medium hair male with the silkiest coat you’ll ever want to sink your fingers into. Not only is this little gentleman incredibly handsome but he also has a heart of gold.
Lenny is a true people-lover. He’s incredibly sweet, affectionate, and absolutely adores human company. He’ll follow you from room to room, “chat” with you throughout the day and give you the best head boops. He also loves a brush and a chin scratch and will reward the extra attention with loud, rumbling purrs.
He’s a champion napper who will always find the best places to snooze and has the sweetest way of making you feel loved and appreciated.
While he’s no longer a bouncy kitten, he still loves to have fun, chasing his laser toy, zooming through his cat tunnel, and getting the occasional case of the cat zoomies around the house.
He’s a real foodie who enjoys supervising kitchen activities with great enthusiasm, while waiting patiently for breakfast each morning.
Lenny is generally an indoor cat but loves his supervised outdoor time on a lead and harness. His mum takes him out a couple times a day so that he can chill out in the sun and munch on grass. He also enjoys time in a cat enclosure.
Lenny was adopted through us previously but unfortunately has not settled well into his new home. His new mum believes he is missing having a friend to socialize with and since she unfortunately cannot bring a second cat into her home has made the tough decision to find him a new household with another furry friend to play with.
He absolutely loves people but he really blossoms when he has a calm, mature, mellow cat friend around. He’s not interested in high-energy kittens or young cats, he wants a like-minded, laid-back buddy to nap with, keep each other company, and just enjoy peaceful feline life together.
A home without another cat simply won’t work for Lenny. He needs a friend! If you already have a calm, friendly adult cat who enjoys quiet companionship, Lenny could be the perfect addition to your little pride. He’ll reward you (and his new cat buddy) with slow blinks, soft purrs, and the kind of steady, beautiful love that makes a house feel like a real home.
Important note for his forever home:
Lenny is a slightly anxious boy and as a result has a history of Feline Idiopathic Cystitis (FIC). Which is just basically struggling to pee when stressed.
He is on daily anti-anxiety medication, which he takes very easily, and only has trouble peeing very occasionally when he's overly stressed, such as his first few days in a new home. A dose of meloxicam sorts him out quickly, and he’s back to his happy self in a day or two. The same way a person with an old shoulder injury might take an anti-inflammatory when they aggravate the old injury. One pill and he's all good to go.
Because of this, Lenny will thrive best in a quiet, predictable, adult-only home with no young children. He needs a calm, stable environment to feel secure.
Once Lenny has a chance to settle into his new home and get used to his new feline friend, his cheeky, playful and incredibly loving personality will begin to shine through and you’ll be rewarded with a truly gorgeous addition to your family.
Leonard is approximately 7 years old, has been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and is available for adoption right meow.
He is currently located in Upwey with his current human companion Deborah.
If you have a quiet home and a mellow cat-loving cat please send Deborah an email directly and she'll be more than happy to arrange a time for you to meet and fall in love with Lenny.
He’s ready to find his forever people and his perfect cat companion. 💕
About Us
Urban Feline Australia is a small, independent cat rescue dedicated to saving surrendered cats from kill shelters and finding them loving, permanent homes.
Founded and run by a passionate animal lover with the support of dedicated friends and volunteers, we specialise in caring for cats that have previously lived in family homes but, for various reasons, can no longer stay with their owners.
Since our inception, we have been fortunate to build a small but dedicated network of volunteer foster carers. These compassionate individuals welcome the surrendered cats into their homes, providing them with love, care, and a safe environment while we search for their perfect forever families.
As a tiny, grassroots rescue with no government funding or large facilities, every rescue is powered by compassion, community support, and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.
All adoption fees and donations go directly toward the essential needs of the cats in our care — including premium food, veterinary treatment, litter, equipment, and ongoing medical support. We rely heavily on the generosity of our foster carers, volunteers, and supporters to continue our work.
Our long-term vision is to expand so we can help even more cats in need. This includes securing a larger dedicated property and, one day, possibly opening a cat café to raise awareness and funds while creating a welcoming space for cat lovers.
How You Can Help
As a small, independent rescue, we depend entirely on the kindness and generosity of our supporters and animal lovers like you. If you would like to support our mission and help us save more lives, please visit the donations page on our website. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference.
We’d also love to connect with you on social media:
@urbanfelineaustralia
Following and sharing our pages helps us reach more potential adopters and supporters. If we can grow our audience, we’ll be able to generate a small ongoing income to sustain and expand the rescue.
We are always in need of foster carers. If you have a safe, loving temporary home and would like to help us care for a cat on their journey to their forever family, please get in touch. The more foster homes we have, the more cats we can save.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about Urban Feline Australia.
Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of many beautiful cats. 💙
Medical notes
As he is an anxious little guy Lenny currently takes Clomav once a day which he happily eats rolled up in some meat and cheese. Sometimes when Lenny becomes super anxious he can struggle to pee but this is easily fixed with a dose of Meloxicam.

Adoption details
We try to make things very easy and straight forward while at the same time making sure we are matching the right cat to the right home.
The first step in the adoption process is a quick chat over the phone to make you are able meet the cats needs and your home is a good fit for the cats personality.
From there we will organize a meet and greet the cats foster home where you will be able to see the cat in action and get a gauge of their personality.
Once you have adopted you new furry feline friend we offer ongoing support and you are welcome to contact us anytime if you have questions, concerns or need advice.
We work hard to make sure that each cat is a good fit for their new home but in the unlikely even that things do not work out we have a 21 day cooling off period and you are more than welcome to return the cat to us during that time.
We will happily refund 50% of the adoption fee or you are welcome to donate this refund to assist with the ongoing cost of the animals care.
