About Falkor
This beautiful little gentleman has a sweet nature, a gentle spirit and a big heart with a lot of love to give. He does not have a mean bone in his little body and would not hurt a fly.
Falkor was well loved by his previous family but when they decided to adopt a dog Falkor instantly became too scared to come downstairs. They tried for several months to build his confidence but in the end decided he would be better off in a dog-free home and reached out to us for help.
He comes from a loving household and has a lot of love to give.
Being a sweet and gentle soul Falkor will be quite shy when he first arrives in his new home and will need a cave bed or two where he can hide until he finds his confidence. But once he has a chance to get to know you it soon becomes all purrs and cuddles.
Falkor loves a pat and a scratch, enjoys being picked up and smooched and LOOOOOOVES to curl up in bed with you in bed or on the couch and have a snooze. Since arriving in his foster home his smoochy personality has really begun to shine through and he just cannot wait for his foster mum to come home and sit down so that so he can jump up on her lap and give her a cuddle. He absolutely loves the bedroom and always wants to be in there with his foster mum.
As he can be quite timid at first he would be best suited to a quiet house with no other pets and no young children. He needs a calm environment where he can feel safe and let his smoochy side shine through. He would be the perfect fit for a retiree who wants a cat to sit on their knee.
He's currently sporting his summer haircut so may not be quite as fluffy as he looks in the photos but he is no less adorable.
And speaking of sport, as a young man he does love to play, particularly at night. He loves to bat things around so somthing like a ping pong ball is right up his alley. He also loves his wand and string toys and will happily chase one around until long after your arm gets tored.
One of his more endearing quirks is his love of digging, real or imagined. Falkor LOOOOOVES digging. Whether it's in the litter box digging to China, digging in-between your legs to make himself a little bed, or digging under the covers of your ed, he really loves digging, loves tight spaces and loves trying to squeeze himself in wherever he can.
If you're looking for an incredibly gentle and incredibly affectionate companion then Falkor is the cat for you.
Falkor is approximately 3 years old and has been desexed, microchipped and vaccinated and is available for adoption right meow.
If you think you have the room in your heart and your home to provide this gorgeous little fella with a great life please let us know and we’ll be more than happy to arrange a time for you to meet and fall in love with him.

A little about us:
Urban Feline Australia is a newly established cat rescue service, run by one passionate individual with the help of friends and volunteers, that is dedicated to keeping cats out of kill shelters and helping them find loving forever homes. We specialize in helping "surrenders" which are cats that have lived with humans previously but for one reason or another their owners are unfortunately no longer able to look after them. We take your pets into our amazing cat sanctuary where they're treated with love and affection until the right forever home is found for them.
Urban Feline Australia is not a large company with government resources, a large facility and a lot of staff. Our tiny rescue is a one man operation run from the safety of our own home. We do this for the love of animals and our only agenda is to save as many cats as we can. We rely heavily on cooperation from friends, other rescues, our amazing foster carers and the kindness of strangers to survive. Every cent we receive from donations and adoption fees is used to keep our rescue running and cover the cost of food, water, litter, equipment and vet bills for the animals in our care.
We are doing as much as we can right now but our dream is to one day be able to purchase a larger property or facility that would allow us to be able to save the lives of many more cats in need. Perhaps even open a cat cafe so that we can spread our message to a wider audience.
We have recently created a Go Fund Me towards this end so if you would like to donate towards our cause you can find it by searching for Urban Feline Australia.
Otherwise please check out our social media to learn a bit more about what we do.

Adoption details
We try to make things very easy and straight forward while at the same time making sure we are matching the right cat to the right home.
The first step in the adoption process is a quick chat over the phone to make you are able meet the cats needs and your home is a good fit for the cats personality.
From there we will organize a meet and greet the cats foster home where you will be able to see the cat in action and get a gauge of their personality.
Once you have adopted you new furry feline friend we offer ongoing support and you are welcome to contact us anytime if you have questions, concerns or need advice.
We work hard to make sure that each cat is a good fit for their new home but in the unlikely even that things do not work out we have a 21 day cooling off period and you are more than welcome to return the cat to us during that time.
We will happily refund 50% of the adoption fee or you are welcome to donate this refund to assist with the ongoing cost of the animals care.
