About Ozzie
***WE'RE ALWAYS ON THE LOOKOUT FOR FOSTER CARERS TO HELP US OUT SO IF YOU THINK YOU CAN PROVIDE A TEMPORARY HOME FOR ONE OF OUR BEAUTIFUL CATS PLEASE LET US KNOW. THE MORE CARERS WE HAVE AVAILABLE TO LEND A HAND THE MORE CATS WE CAN HELP REHOME***
This gorgeous, fluffy, gentle giant is Ozzie and he's on the lookout for his new forever home.
Unfortunately he had a rough start to life and was basically abandoned by his first family at a cattery :(
But as fortune would have it, a lovely person happened to be housing their other cat at the cattery at the same time and when they heard what had happened they took Ozzie home with them without a second thought. Since then he has known nothing but love an comfort from people.
Unfortunately his owner recently had to downsize into an apartment and Ozzie has not handled the change from a big house with outdoor access to a tiny apartment. He became quiet stressed in his new surroundings and started overgrooming himself as a result. So his owner made the tough decision to reach out to us to find him a new home.
He comes from a loving household and has a lot of love to give.
Since arriving in his new foster home, a big house with multiple bedrooms, Ozzie is more or less back to his usual self. He has been a little shy at first, like most of us when we first arrive in a new home, but he continues to get more confident every day and his beautiful and affectionate personality has begun to shine through.
He was actually rolling around and happy to have pats the day he first arrived :)
Ozzie loves being able to go outside and chase the leaves, sit in the sunshine and is really good at catching mice if you have some. But when he's indoors he loves being around people. He's not a super in your face cat but he loves to be around you.
He enjoys a pat and a scratch, will happily sit next to you on the couch and will curl up in bed and sleep with you if you'll let him. He also likes to roll around in front of you and look adorable.
He's not a fan of young kids, as he does not like to be man handled, but he does love to play and will happily chase his toys around with you.
Ozzie prefers to be the only pet in your house but he is good with other cats and cat friendly dogs. He will happily go up to them so they can lick his ears. If he comes across another animal he does not like he will just stare at them until they go away.
He loves loves eating his Royal Canin biscuits the most. He might try something else but loves his biscuits 😊 He is very beautiful, very healthy, house trained and even litter trained.
We would love to find Ozzie a home with someone who has a big house that he can explore and who can provide outdoor access. Preferably a household without young kids and without other pets. Ozzie would love a big quiet kingdom which he can rule on his own and where he can come and go as he pleases.
Ozzie is approximately 9 years old and has been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and is available for adoption right meow.
If you think you have the room in your heart and your home to provide this gorgeous little soul with a great life please let us know and we’ll be more than happy to arrange a time for you to meet and fall in love with him

A little about us:
Urban Feline Australia is a newly established cat rescue service, run by one passionate individual with the help of friends and volunteers, that is dedicated to keeping cats out of kill shelters and helping them find loving forever homes. We specialize in helping "surrenders" which are cats that have lived with humans previously but for one reason or another their owners are unfortunately no longer able to look after them. We take your pets into our amazing cat sanctuary where they're treated with love and affection until the right forever home is found for them.
Urban Feline Australia is not a large company with government resources, a large facility and a lot of staff. Our tiny rescue is a one man operation run from the safety of our own home. We do this for the love of animals and our only agenda is to save as many cats as we can. We rely heavily on cooperation from friends, other rescues, our amazing foster carers and the kindness of strangers to survive. Every cent we receive from donations and adoption fees is used to keep our rescue running and cover the cost of food, water, litter, equipment and vet bills for the animals in our care.
We are doing as much as we can right now but our dream is to one day be able to purchase a larger property or facility that would allow us to be able to save the lives of many more cats in need. Perhaps even open a cat cafe so that we can spread our message to a wider audience.
We have recently created a Go Fund Me towards this end so if you would like to donate towards our cause you can find it by searching for Urban Feline Australia.
Otherwise please check out our social media to learn a bit more about what we do.
