Mauw

This beautiful little lady is a sweet and gentle soul with a big heart and a lot of love to give. She absolutely adores people and enjoys nothing more than curling up and having a cuddle with her favorite person.

Mauw was well loved by her previous family but they sadly found themselves in the position where they could not longer care for her so they reached to us for help finding her a new home.

She comes from a loving household and has a lot of love to give.

Despite being in a new environment, she quickly found her way onto her foster mums bed, the very first night she arrived, and has been all purrs and cuddles ever since. She is still a little wary about exploring the rest of the house but when they're both in their room together it's definitely time for some serious cuddles.

This little lady is incredibly affectionate and just adores human company. Like most tabbies loves nothing more than a warm, cozy nap spot and a cuddle with her favorite humans.

She can also be quite talkative, in fact that's how she got her strange name. She was wandering around the house meowing and her people were talking back to her saying "Mauw" and it just stuck.

Mauw is the type of cat that will always want to be part of what you are doing. If you're working at your desk she will be near by, if you're sitting on the couch she wont be far away, and when it's time for bed, yes that's right, she will be there smooching with you until you drift off.

She loves a pat and a scratch, loves to rub up against your legs, enjoys a head boop, and will roll around looking incredibly adorable, so you cannot help but give her attention.

Mauw has a very gentle and tolerant nature and has come from a home with young kids, so we think she would make a great family cat. She would also be fine in a multi-cat household, as long as she is given plenty of time to be gradually introduced to her feline housemates.

Mauw is approximately 7 years old and has been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and is available for adoption right meow.

A little about us:

Urban Feline Australia is a newly established cat rescue service, run by one passionate individual with the help of friends and volunteers, that is dedicated to keeping cats out of kill shelters and helping them find loving forever homes. We specialize in helping "surrenders" which are cats that have lived with humans previously but for one reason or another their owners are unfortunately no longer able to look after them. We take your pets into our amazing cat sanctuary where they're treated with love and affection until the right forever home is found for them.

Urban Feline Australia is not a large company with government resources, a large facility and a lot of staff. Our tiny rescue is a one man operation run from the safety of our own home. We do this for the love of animals and our only agenda is to save as many cats as we can. We rely heavily on cooperation from friends, other rescues, our amazing foster carers and the kindness of strangers to survive. Every cent we receive from donations and adoption fees is used to keep our rescue running and cover the cost of food, water, litter, equipment and vet bills for the animals in our care.

We are doing as much as we can right now but our dream is to one day be able to purchase a larger property or facility that would allow us to be able to save the lives of many more cats in need. Perhaps even open a cat cafe so that we can spread our message to a wider audience.
