About

The Society of Companion Animal Rescuers Inc, SoCares, has been contracted by Wyong Shire Council to manage and operate its Animal Care Facility at Charmhaven. This facility operates as both an impounding facility as well as a companion animal adoption centre.

Adoption details

Dogs and cats come microchipped, lifetime registration, desexed, vaccinated and with a 14 day health & trial period warranty (please note that SoCares reserves the right to conduct home and yard checks prior to adoption).
DOG ADOPTIONS: We like to make sure all dogs and their new family (human and four legged) are a suitable match so if you have other dog/s we always book a meet and greet at a time suitable for you to ensure they will get on.

Baron is a handsome young man looking for a family to love him. He sure has plenty to give and is patiently waiting for that opportunity to come along. Baron has a great temperament and just wants to please you. Baron is intelligent and he is responding well to training. He knows some basic obedience commands and given more time and patience, Baron will be an amazing family pet. Baron is very eager to meet new canine friends; he can be a little too forward with them initially, but he settles quickly. Baron has shown no interest in our facility cats. If you would like to meet Baron, please drop into the facility during opening hours.

American Staffordshire Bull Terrier Mix

Darling

Lucy is a darling. She has a beautiful sweet nature and a gorgeous face to match. When Lucy first came to our facility she was quite shy and lacked confidence. Lucy has since blossomed and is quite inquisitive when she is out and about on her daily walk. Lucy already knows some basic commands and after some initial pulling, Lucy walks well on the lead. We would love to see Lucy rehomed to a household where she will be given time to adjust to her new environment and be included as a member of the family. Lucy is friendly and playful towards other canine friends but she would prefer a home without cats. If you would like to meet lovely Lucy, please drop into the facility during opening hours. Plugga is an absolute super star. Not only is he very handsome, he oozes charisma and has a great personality. Plugga is still a big puppy and just wants to have fun. He would be a perfect match for an active family who will take him for long walks and adventures. Plugga thrives on human touch; he enjoys lots of pats and cuddles. Plugga is still in the process of learning his lead manners and commands but he is making wonderful progress. Plugga loves the company of other canine friends and he appears to be cat friendly. This little cutie is Elky, now she may appear sweet and petite but she is one of the feistiest kitties we have come across. She is very selective with people and can be extremely aggressive if she isn't happy, therefore we feel the only real option is to adopt her out as a Barn Cat/Mouser for a property, where she can roam free and earn her keep. If you think Elky might be suitable for you we would love to hear from you, the will be no adoption fee for the right home.
