Introducing Chops!

Chops is a big lovable boy who has a heart of gold and just really wants to find his forever home 💙

HOUSEHOLD - Chops is an adorable, calm, teddy bear. He could suit a variety of homes that understand bigger breeds.

ON GOING TRAINING - Overall, Chops is, in general , a good boy and has not shown a particular area that needs training. However, he would benefit from further work on his obedience.

ON LEASH - While on leash, Chops is very easy to walk and responds to instructions well despite his size and strength.

Chops does not get distracted by other dogs while out and about. He will only give them a slight glance before moving on with his handler.

PLAY/TOYS - Chops loves toys, especially ones that he can carry around or play with his human.

OTHER DOGS - Chops is very dog social. He is happy to engage, play, and has wonderful doggie manners. He could certainly be homed with another suitable canine friend.

CATS/OTHER ANIMALS - We are currently assessing if Chops is suitable to be housed with a resident cat. If you have a cat at home, please let us know.

CARE/GROOMING - Chops will need regular brushes and a bath when needed.

He is happy to be touched all over his body but struggles to sit still whilst having his feet checked, instead wanting to lick your face.

EXERCISE - Chops would benefit from daily walks, time spent with his humans, and a variety of toys, including treat toys.

BREED - 5 Year Old, Mastiff X

Chops is located at our Charmhaven Shelter. His reduced $500 adoption fee covers microchipping, desexing, lifetime registration, current vaccination, flea and worming treatments.
