Meet Atari, a sweet and joyful companion who has truly blossomed, overcoming initial skin challenges to reveal a loving and energetic fur friend.

HOUSEHOLD - Atari's cheerful nature fits a variety of homes and lifestyles, but he would love a family where he's part of the action because he adores human attention.

ON GOING TRAINING - He knows basic commands like "sit" and "shake" and is a fast learner, even if he occasionally gets a bit distracted. He's a bit prone to jumping when he's excited, but he responds well to correction.

ON LEASH - When walking Atari, he is quite manageable, sitting and stopping when asked most of the time. He is alert of his surroundings and can get interested in them but is easily redirected with a bit of leash pressure, happily moving on with his handler.

OTHER DOGS - Atari is dog social. He has shown some stiffness to begin with but quickly settles in the presence with another dog. Atari could live with another suitable canine friend.

CATS/OTHER ANIMALS - Atari had not much interest in cats, barely giving them a sniff before growing distracted with surroundings.

CARE/GROOMING - Atari does have some skin irritation issues that have been addressed while in our care, showing great improvement. To help assist Atari's skin, he will require regular malaseb baths and possibly Cytoppint injections in the future.

EXERCISE - Atari would benefit from daily walks to help grow routine and expel energy, as well as a range of toys for him to play with at home.

NUTRITION - When Alari came into our care, his skin was in poor condition. It has improved immensely through a diet of hypoallergenic food, which will need to be continued in his new home.

BREED - DOB 10/3/23 Staffy Mix

Atari is located at our Charmhaven Shelter. His reduced $200 adoption fee covers microchipping desexing, lifetime registration, current vaccination, flea and worming treatments.
