About Reef
Introducing Pretty Reef 🩷
Reef came into our care very shut down and did not know anything about the world but she has grown so much while in our care.
HOUSEHOLD - Reef requires a stable home with loving owners who are committed to safety exposing her further to the world.
Before coming into our care Reef had experienced so much trauma in her life. We have found the key to developing Reef's confidence is a slow but consistent approach.
Once she forms a bond with you Reef is loyal, loving and happy. An adult home where she is her new family's main focus would be a perfect environment for her to thrive.
ON GOING TRAINING - Reef has received outside professional training which has changed this girls life. Reef will need continued work in most areas to keep her on a successful path.
ON LEASH - Currently Reef walks with a fitted harness and displays good leash manners. She is continually showing improvement and enjoys her time outdoors with her handlers.
PLAY/TOYS - Reef has shown no interest in playing with toys.
OTHER DOGS - Reef previously lived with two canine buddies and has shown she is comfortable in the presence of other dogs that she has been introduced to.
CATS/OTHER ANIMALS - Reef happily walked in our cattery. When she finally noticed the cats, they gave her a swipe and she retreated seeking solace from her handler. We believe with slow, controlled introductions it may be possible for Reef to live with a resident feline.
CARE/GROOMING - Reef has a short coat which will require a weekly brush and wash when needed. Reef tolerates all over body handling but at times she does not appear 100% comfortable.
EXERCISE - For Reef's overall well-being she requires daily exercise and continued exposure to different social settings and environments.
CAR RIDES - Reef travels well in a car and lays down for the duration of the trip.
NUTRITION - Reef will eat what is offered to her. She has no special dietary requirements.
BREED - 1 Year Old , Red Staffy
Reef is located at our Erina Shelter and her reduced $50 adoption fee covers - microchipping, desexing, lifetime registration, current vaccination, flea and worming treatments plus breed and behavioural assessments AND POST ADOPTION TRAINING SUPPORT.
We are extremely proud of this beautiful girl. She has come such a long way, and deserves the best family to share her life with. If you tick all of Reef's boxes, please lodge your interest online.
