Introducing Happy Hazel!

This beautiful lady is a cuddly energetic dog who loves to hang out with her people and explore new things with them.

HOUSEHOLD - Hazel is a shorter but bulky staffy who would benefit from a home that knows the staffy breed. She could fit into a variety of households as long as she is given time to settle in and be included with the family.

Her new home will require secure, high fencing.

ON GOING TRAINING - Hazel is currently learning her commands. She has shown she knows sit and will respond to it most times without a treat. Hazel will require ongoing support in her obedience training to strengthen her responses.

ON LEASH - Hazel can be a bit strong on the leash mainly when she sees another dog but shows great response to correction. With routine and clear instructions, this would further help Hazel learn what is expected during a walk.

PLAY/TOYS - She has shown some interest in playing with toys but prefers playing and interacting with her handler.

OTHER DOGS - Hazel is quite dog social when meeting dogs. Initally, she may be a bit unsure but quickly loosens up and begins to play.

CATS/OTHER ANIMALS - Hazel is not suitable to share a home with a feline resident.

CARE/GROOMING - Hazel will need regular brushes and a bath when needed. She has no issues with her body being touched, soaking up any form of attention, but may attempt to give you a good kiss on the face.

EXERCISE - Hazel would benefit from daily walks and a variety of activities in her home to help with her energy levels.

BREED - Amstaff X DOB 11/7/21

Hazel is located at our Charmhaven Shelter. Her reduced $200 adoption fee covers microchipping, desexing, lifetime registration, current vaccination, flea and worming treatments.
