Meet Lulu a gorgeous Staffy mix, who is not just a pretty face!
Lulu is an energetic, affectionate and slightly nervous young lady who has shown herself to be friendly towards every person she has meet, including a few children and strangers.
TYPE OF HOUSEHOLD- She could suit a variety of different households including singles, couples or a family unit. Lulu just needs abit of assistance learning some basic doggie manners to help decrease her behaviour of jumping up when excited or nervous.
Lulu is looking for an owner who has had previous dog experience because she has not had much exposure to the big wide world and can be alittle unsure of new situations. She will require gentle guidance to help calm her and build her confidence, socialisation and obedience skills.
OTHER DOGS- Lulu appears to be dog social but can be unsure when first meeting a new canine friend. Her nervous reaction is to bark at them to scare them off but with a slow approach she settles quickly and enjoys the interaction. She has met male and female canine friends and appears comfortable with both so far.
She would best suit a well-socialised, calmer canine companion to help her learn how to be a dog.
CATS/OTHER PETS - We are continuing to test her with other household pets. If you have any, please be sure to mention them on your application.
TRAINING - Thankfully, she is food and attention motivated, so training should come easily. She can be vocal when nervous so she will require an owner who is happy to attend further training or has dealt with this before.
TOYS/ENRICHMENT- Lulu has shown some signs of anxiety within the kennel environment but it can be a very stressful space for a young pup so she has been offered a variety of boredom buster toys such as licki mats, puzzle bowls and kongs and loved them all. These are super helpful in the home environment to (keeping her out of trouble!)
GROOMING - Lulu has a high energy requirement but a low grooming requirement due to her short coat.
EXCERISE- She would love 1-2 walks/runs daily and a game or two in the backyard to keep her occupied.
Lulu is located at our Erina Shelter. Her $600 adoption fee covers- microchipping, desexing, lifetime registration, current vaccination, flea and worming treatments 🐾

Adoption details
Dogs and cats come microchipped, lifetime registration, desexed, vaccinated and with a 14 day health & trial period warranty (please note that SoCares reserves the right to conduct home and yard checks prior to adoption).
DOG ADOPTIONS: We like to make sure all dogs and their new family (human and four legged) are a suitable match so if you have other dog/s we always book a meet and greet at a time suitable for you to ensure they will get on.
