About Billie
Introducing Beautiful Billie!
This lovely young lady came to us scared and was reluctant to allow any form of contact. Billie now loves attention and learning new things. She has a heart as big as herself and is ready for a home to call her own 🩷
HOUSEHOLD - Billie would love a family who would involve her in their life as much as possible. She adores the people she has formed bonds with and wants to soak up as much attention as possible. She could fit into a variety of caring homes that will assist her to boost her confidence further.
ON GOING TRAINING - Billie is still quite young and needs help learning basic obedience and manners. When she is away from her kennel environment, Billie is responsive to training with high value treats and handler interaction.
ON LEASH - Billie is manageable on the leash, although she does struggle to keep her focus on the walk, as she is more interested in what is happening around her. Training and routine will help to improve this immensely.
PLAY/TOYS - Billie has not shown much interest in toys during her time in the shelter. She prefers to engage with staff & volunteers.
OTHER DOGS - Billie is dog friendly. She is still very puppy like, this combined with her size, some dogs friends may find her a bit too much. Billie could certainly live happily with another well matched canine companion.
CATS/OTHER ANIMALS - Billie is yet to be tested with cats. If you have cats at home, we can organise a cat test ASAP.
CARE/GROOMING - Billie struggles to sit still during grooming, but loves attention given by her handler. Her coat requires regular brushes and a bath when needed.
EXERCISE - Billie will benefit from daily walks and a variety of activities to keep her exercised and mentally stimulated. Billie requires ongoing exposure to different environments and social settings to help further build her confidence.
NUTRITION - Billie has no special dietary requirements.
BREED - DOB 28/7/23 Mastiff X
Billie is located at our Erina Shelter. Her $500 adoption fee covers - microchipping, desexing, lifetime registration, current vaccination, flea and worming treatments.
Billie is a bundle of joy, fun and love. She has blossomed so much while in our care. We are looking for a family to adopt her who will allow her the time to adjust and slowly expose her to new things in a loving, supportive way. If you tick all of Billie's boxes, please get in touch by lodging your interest online.
