Author Tim Brown and PetRescue collaborate to introduce “The Adventures of Rusty the Rescue Dog”
We’ve teamed up with Tim Brown on an exciting new project to empower the next generation of pet rescue advocates! Together, Tim and Dr Diana Rayment advised the illustrator to highlight pet body language so that kids aged 3-7 can learn how to recognise safe and happy interactions with our furry friends. His first book in the series, Rusty is Rescued, is available in bookstores nationwide on April 1, 2026. Pre-order here.
Rusty’s Rescue Adventures is also making waves on social media by spotlighting rehoming organisations and their pets looking for homes.

HASS webinar- collaborating with human services to support pets and people better together
Most human service providers work with clients who have pets, but many don’t have the tools or partnerships to help families access pet support when they need it most.
Next month, HASS will be sharing insights from their 2025 Human Commonalities project, including what they learned from providers about the real barriers they face, how community members actually find pet resources, and how to use local data to build smarter, stronger partnerships.
Join the call on March 12 to explore what’s possible when human and animal services work better together.
