About Wanaka 🌷🌷🌷
🐾 Meet Wanaka (pronounced Wo-nuh-kuh), the only girl of the litter, but mighty fun!
Wanaka’s journey began in a hot roof where she, her siblings, and their devoted mum were found when only a few days old. Brought into care at such a young age, Wanaka has grown up surrounded by people and is wonderfully friendly, confident, and affectionate.
This little lady is your quintessential playful cat, full of zoomies, jumps, and joyful chaos. Wanaka is always on the move, wrestling with her siblings, chasing toys, and bringing life to every room she enters. When she finally tires herself out, she loves finding a soft, cosy spot to curl up for a well-earned nap.
Wanaka is currently in care with her siblings Haka, Tekapo, Otago, and their mum Amberley. She’s also become great friends with Milford and Moana. Because of her social upbringing and young age, Wanaka must go to a home with a resident cat or be adopted with one of her foster siblings or buddies (all up for adoption).
She currently lives in a foster home with two resident dogs. While they can still be a little scary for her, she’s young, adaptable, and learning quickly. A gentle, cat-friendly dog would be just fine in her forever home. She also enjoys giving the dogs a bit of sass from her safe perch at the window!
Wanaka uses the litter tray perfectly and is a lovely polite eater, an angel compared to some of her siblings!
Wanaka would love nothing more than to find her forever home where she can zoom, play, and then qonk out for cuddles when she’s all tuckered out.

Adoption details
Please email us at adoptions@heartandsoulrescue.com.au if you are interested in adopting one of our precious souls, and we will email you our Adoption Application Form.
Once we have received your completed form, we will then contact you to discuss suitability. If we feel one of our cats or kittens will be suited to you, we will arrange a home visit or ask for a short walk-through video of your home.
If all goes well, we will give you a *trial period of 2 weeks to see if our cat or kitten is the right one for you 💕 *Conditions apply - We reserve the right to reject a full refund if recommendations & requests regarding your new cat/kitten have not been adhered to. (A 25% admin fee will apply)
