About Milford 💙
🐾 Meet Milford!
Named after Milford Sound – the eighth wonder of the world, this little lad certainly lives up to his name… though he’s convinced he’s actually Wonder Number One!
Milford’s story began on an extremely stormy day, when he and his four siblings were found drenched and huddled behind a shed. A loyal elderly German Shepherd alerted his owner to the tiny babies and with no mumma cat in sight, the babies were quickly brought into care, where warmth, safety, and love were waiting.
Milford adores people and shows it with his rumbling purrs, cosy lap naps, and the sweetest little meows that sound like he's trying to hold a conversation. He’s very people dependent and will thrive with a family who welcomes a loving little shadow and snuggle buddy.
Milford currently lives in care with his sister Moana and his best friends Otago, Tekapo, Wanaka, and Haka. Due to his early life and social needs, Milford must go to a home with a resident cat or be adopted with one of his foster friends (all also looking for homes!). He absolutely loves playing and having zoomies with the gang, and the comedy he provides is completely free of charge.
He has also taken a surprising liking to the big resident doggo in his foster home, so he would be perfectly happy in a family with a calm, cat-friendly dog.
Milford is an absolute gentleman with his litter tray, so polite he’ll even let his carers know when he’s about to go. He eats like a champ too… and may or may not be guilty of stealing bites from his foster siblings' bowls when he thinks no one is looking!
Milford promises his forever family endless love, soft cuddles, and plenty of cheeky moments. In return, he hopes for a family who will cherish him just as much.

Adoption details
Please email us at adoptions@heartandsoulrescue.com.au if you are interested in adopting one of our precious souls, and we will email you our Adoption Application Form.
Once we have received your completed form, we will then contact you to discuss suitability. If we feel one of our cats or kittens will be suited to you, we will arrange a home visit or ask for a short walk-through video of your home.
If all goes well, we will give you a *trial period of 2 weeks to see if our cat or kitten is the right one for you 💕 *Conditions apply - We reserve the right to reject a full refund if recommendations & requests regarding your new cat/kitten have not been adhered to. (A 25% admin fee will apply)
