Greys4Pets has full charity status, it does not receive any official funding and relies solely on donations, which are tax deductible, and fundraising to pay for the initial costs involved to desex, vaccinate, microchip, heartworm test the greyhounds and the long term costs to keep them in food and shelter until they find a home.
We urgently need foster carers so that they can get more greyhounds out of the kennels to teach them about life in a home. We cannot continue our work without funds, so they urgently need more help to fundraise.
Currently we need a hydrobath to wash the greyhounds and groom them in preparation for their new homes, food, collars, leads, muzzles, winter coats, flea and worm treatment, a vehicle to transport the greyhounds, help with their insurance payments, the list goes on and on.
Please email or phone to make the enquiry about the dog you are interested in adopting and we can answer any further questions you may have. We will then send you an adoption application form to complete and return via email along with ID and photo's of your garden/yard and fencing/gates.
If the adoption application is approved a home check & meet and greet with the dog you are interested in adopting will be arranged. If you have other dogs in the family we like them to come along and also meet with the dog.
If all goes ahead and you adopt the dog there is a 4 week trial period to make sure they settle in their new home ok. If it works out well the adoption papers are then finalised and all dogs from our adoption program must be registered with your local council and the microchip details changed into your name and contact details.
Our dogs are not available for interstate adoption.
