Onyx is a gorgeous 3-year-old Greyhound who is ready to leave her racing days behind and begin her journey into pet life — but first, she needs a foster or foster-to-adopt home where she can safely land.

As Onyx has not yet entered foster care, we are still getting to know her personality and how she will settle into home life. What we do know is that she deserves the opportunity to experience kindness, comfort, and the simple joys that come with being part of a family.

For many Greyhounds, retirement is a completely new world. Everyday things like couches, televisions, sliding doors, and neighbourhood walks can all be unfamiliar at first. With patience, reassurance, and a calm environment, Onyx will have the chance to slowly build confidence and discover what it means to simply be loved.
