Social Change Program
PetRescue was founded out of a desire for social change, aspiring to make pet adoption the number one option at a time when rescue pets were not as socially desirable. Through creative campaigns made possible through incredible partnerships such as "who says you can't choose your family" and "love knows no breed", we've been able to break down stigmas and shift attitudes, and pet adoption has become a mainstream method of acquiring a pet.
By leveraging 20 years of data and insights, we continue to work towards shifting perceptions and driving positive change to create a better future for pets and the people who care for them. To achieve long-term, systemic transformation, it's essential to challenge existing perceptions and the status quo, encouraging people to think differently.
By widely sharing insights and evidence, PetRescue aims to shine a light on the issues rescue pets and the rescue community face and how we can collectively solve them at their root causes.
With intentional messaging and the delivery of widespread, far-reaching campaigns, supported by strong partnerships and collaborations, we will continue to shift perceptions and behaviours over time. The goal is to not only ensure that change is made, but that it is sustained and has a lasting positive impact on the pet adoption space.
