With a new bulk messaging update for ‘on hold’ statuses, you can now save time by sending one automated message to all enquirers, informing them that your pet has been marked on hold! Learn more about updating statuses here.
This latest feature was rolled out as a response to a PetRescue member request to inform all enquirers who follow up about a pet’s availability when the pet is put ‘on hold’. Below is their original request and feedback:
Taking our member's helpful suggestion on board, our team came up with a solution to inform enquirers when a pet has been put on hold.
Here’s how to send an automated message to all enquirers:
- Go to your pet's profile and change the status to 'on hold'. Click on the drop-down menu to select a reason as to why your pet as been put on hold. This will also help the PetRescue team communicate with any of your enquirers who reach out to us asking for an update on their enquiry.
-
You will now see a pop-up (shown below). This has been pre-filled for your convenience. If you would like to customise this message, you can click "Preview and edit this message" and edit the message in the text field.
-
Review the message and click ‘Yes, send enquirers an update’.
-
Once this is done, use the dropdown menu in the pop-up shown below to select the enquirer that your pet is on trial with, or being fostered by, so that the message goes to everyone except that enquirer.
Then click the orange button that says ‘Send notification’ (If the particular enquirer is not on the list or if your pet is on hold for other reasons, click ‘None of the above’ to send the message to all enquirers).
And voila! 🎉 You have now sent a message to all enquirers in your conversations informing them that your pet is on hold!
Did you know you can send a similar message to all unsuccessful enquirers when a pet has been marked adopted as well? Learn how to do this in a few simple steps.
Since enquiries have spiked over the past couple of days, the PetRescue team is leveraging in-house tech to help members lighten the load and make managing the adoption process easier.
