PetRescue connects with the pound community!
With the recent changes to the NSW pound legislation, it’s more urgent than ever to help council pounds safely rehome dogs and cats in their care. As part of the Safe and Sound Pound program, PetRescue is reaching out to pounds across Australia to introduce them to the PetRescue adoption platform, giving them a tool to rehome animals quicker, and alleviate the mental stress on pound workers and reduce the burden on rescue groups.
PetRescue’s Co-founding Director, Vix Davy, recently hosted a webinar for council pound representatives for the Australian Institute of Animal Management.
The pound representatives had a lot of questions for Vix, and many were keen to learn more about pet profile writing tips. Some attendees were surprised to learn that PetRescue is 100% free-to-use for all rescue organisations!
With more pounds in the growing PetRescue member community, more homeless pets will get a chance to be seen by the 25,000 pet lovers that visit PetRescue every day, giving them the best chance at finding new homes.
