Our Safe and Sound Pounds team attends the annual WA Rangers Conference!
Our trusty Safe and Sound Pounds squad is officially no stranger to a WA ranger! After meeting a few local council rangers earlier this year, our team set out to share our vision for a safer future for rescue pets to a bigger audience of over a 100 rangers at the WA Rangers Conference!
The WARA Conference is an annual training conference that recognises the achievements of local rangers and invites speakers from all over Australia to present on developments in animal welfare.
As one of the guest speakers, PetRescue’s co-founder JB talked about our mission to help stem the flow of pets going into pounds as part of our Safe and Sound Pounds Campaign.
Then, he opened the floor up for discussion on the various issues that rangers face with rehoming pets. Since rangers are an integral part of the Animal Welfare Sector, it is important for us to learn more about the various problems they encounter with rehoming lost or surrendered pets so that, together, we can help create positive outcomes for these pets and the community.

Our team also set up a PetRescue corner to chat with the participating rangers and gain an insight into their work with pets in the community.
We had a great time talking to the attendees and giving them more information about all the free programs and services that PetRescue provides to promote rescue and adoption. And we’re definitely looking forward to coming back next year!
