About W.I.S.H Rescue
W.I.S.H Rescue—whose very name spells out our purpose, Welcomed Into Safe Haven—is a nonprofit, volunteer-run animal rescue based in Australia. We provide a refuge for the forgotten, the vulnerable, and the hopeful, rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming cats and dogs of every age, breed, and background.
Many of the animals who arrive at our haven have endured abandonment, neglect, or abuse, or have faced the risk of euthanasia in pounds. Through dedicated foster care, tailored medical treatment, and patient behavioural support, we help each one rediscover safety, joy, and belonging.
Our promise is simple: to listen to the unspoken wishes of every animal we meet—and to answer those wishes with compassion, dignity, and a path to a brighter life. We also partner with our community to promote responsible pet ownership, desexing, and humane education, working to reduce surrenders and prevent cruelty before it begins.
