About Carlos- Male Kitten (on trial 17/03/2022)
Carlos is such a sweet little man. We affectionately call him 'Wolfie' as his fluffy smoky black and grey coat makes him look like a tiny werewolf.
He is much shyer than his brothers and more skittish when it comes to unfamiliar sounds around the home. However, he is still a curious soul and loves to play when he feels comfortable, whether it's rough and tumble with his brothers or playing with rolling balls or toys on string.
When he has had some one-on-one time with people in a quiet space he is more affectionate and when he's in the mood, he is happy to snuggle in for a nap. With time to build his confidence and a trusting relationship with his human we think he will be such a sweet companion.
Carlos and his two brothers were found on the Central Coast and have been in care at Dog Rescue Newcastle since they were four weeks old. The poor dears were covered in fleas, underweight and and generally worse for wear. Carlos in particular was so small and cold that he experienced some small seizures, though these have stopped and haven't appeared to have any permanent effects. With love and attention over the last month they have all improved by leagues and are now happy, healthy young kittens.
We think Carlos would be best in a home without children as he can still get quite frightened by loud noises and sudden movements and we think he needs some time in a more predictable environment to further build his confidence. We don't think a home with a young dog would be appropriate, though a gentle mature dog might be okay with proper introductions. We recommend he go to a home where he can have a friendly feline playmate to keep him company.
He gets along well with both of his brothers, Chino and Charlie, who you can view here and here if you're interested in adopting them as a pair.
