About Nina
Nina is looking for an experienced home where someone is home most of the time. She needs some continued training to help her minor behavior issues , but you will be rewarded with the most loving and cuddly pup.
Nina has separation anxiety which is why she's best suited to a home where someone is home most of the day. When left alone she whines and barks and has tried get out her crate in the past. She's slowly getting used to being left alone for longer periods of time with the help of a crate and hopefully her new home can continue this.
She can also be unsure of new people at first. She warms up to women very quickly, but is quite wary of men on first meeting. She can have a tendency to bark/growl at male visitors, but introducing her outside the home reduces her reaction. She does eventually warm up to them and adores the two guys she's been living with the last couple months.
She is a little reactive to other dogs so dog parks aren't for her. However, her reactivity towards other dogs has improved drastically over the last couple months and there's definitely room for even more improvement. She will need a slow introduction if she will be living with another dog.
She needs a fairly active home due to her working breed. She would love to join you on runs, long walks, car rides or any other outing. In saying that, Nina is also quite content to sleep the day away if she knows you're around. When we go out and about she will lay down to snooze and is well behaved inside dog friendly shops.
She loves her food and will do anything for treats, making her perfect for obedience training. She catches on very quickly and gets extremely enthusiastic during training sessions. This does lead her to use her paws a bit over enthusiastically. She also will chase and jump on anyone running around which is why she'd be best suited to a home with older, dog savvy children.
