About Archer~German Shorthaired-Pointer (trial22/10/15)
Introducing Archer, a 10 week old large mixed breed puppy, who is highly thought to be German Shorthaired-Pointer. Archer is a sweet boy with a very relaxed nature. He loves nothing more than to run around the big backyard with his brothers and foster sisters playing games like, tug-of-war, chaisies and playful wrestling. After a big play, Archer loves to lay down in his big comfy bed amongst the toys and blankets with the other puppies and have a rest. He is also a very cuddly boy with a chilled out nature who is happy just to be by your side watching TV or hanging out in the backyard.
Archer is still quite timid, when he was just days old he was dumped on a Hunter Valley worksite with his brothers and sisters and left to fend for themselves. When Archer came into Dog Rescue’s care he was extremely skinny, malnourished and full of worms. Since then however, Archer has made a full recovery and is a living testament to how TLC and good food can go a long way. Even though Archer is still learning to accept humans, he quickly learns after being petted and given some treats that people are okay and that he shouldn’t be scared. With age and a loving forever family, his timid nature should soon not be an issue at all.
Archer is a smart puppy; he will sit for his food and is learning other basic commands such as lay down. He is making progress with house training also, which will need to be continued in his new home with positive reinforcements.
It is highly recommended that Archer attend puppy pre-school to strengthen the bond between him and his new forever family, where he will gain extremely important socialization and useful tips and training.
Archer will also need secure fences that are high, as he will grow up to be large.
Archer also lives with his two brothers Digby and Diego and has two sisters Summer and Spring also in DRN’s care.

They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
