About Collins
Meet Collins!
Collins is the kind of boy who turns heads and rules Instagram pictures. Check out his foster insta @two-white_foster_cats to prove the point and meet his siblings too.
With his striking black and white fluffy coat, huge fluffy tail, amazing light green eyes, and larger-than-life personality, Collins is a legend in the making. This magnificent boy might look like he’s been ruling the world his whole life, but the truth is, his story very nearly ended before it began.
Collins was such a malnourished stray kitten that he was estimated to be only 4 months old when he came into foster care earlier this year. It turns out he was actually closer to 8 months. He was trapped alongside his siblings and handed into a vet clinic to be euthanised simply because they were scared. Thankfully, a kind-hearted vet nurse recognised their potential, stepped in and just look at him now! Thanks to the professional care and lots of TLC, Collins is healthy, happy, and ready to start the next chapter in a loving adoptive home.
Collins is a curious and social boy, always the first one to explore, but because he has had limited exposure to the world so far, he can be a little jumpy until he gets his bearings. The good news? His curiosity wins out quickly, and underneath that initial caution is a confident, outgoing young cat who loves pats, cuddles, and being brushed (which makes it a breeze to look after his magnificent coat). He’s also a big fan of mealtime: be it his size or the fact that he once experienced hunger as a stray, this boy loves food!
Despite his size, Collins is really just a playful, young, and gentle giant. He has met big and small dogs before and didn’t mind them. Just a quick nose sniff and he was on his way, which indicates he'd learn to live with a cat friendly canine in his adoptive home. He is used to cat company and requires a home with an existing friendly cat, or to be adopted with one of his siblings: the giant chocolate-brown August, black-and-white shorthaired Benedict, or gorgeous tortoiseshell Diana (to be listed soon).
Collins's best-suited home would be
🐈Adults or families with teenage children.
🐈No children under 12 unless they understand he’s not a toy and will need some time to settle, even though he looks like a giant cuddle bear.
🐈Another friendly cat, or to be adopted with one of his siblings August, Benedict or Diana
🐈 Would learn to live with a cat friendly dog with the right introductions
