About Dawn
Dawn is a diluted calico cat with white socks and a split face. She has beautiful eyes that span from amber to jade depending on lighting. Although shy and timid upon first meeting, when she learns to trust a human Dawn bonds extremely well with humans. She is very affectionate and loves head pats, she even stands on her hind legs and launches herself up to receive pets and loves scratches on the chin. When you lay down in bed and put a soft blanket over yourself she will instantly come and lay in between your legs.
Dawn was found with her daughter (Shadow) near a bushy area next to a shopping centre carpark and taken in by her foster carers. Even though Dawn has been a mother before she is still only around a year old and not a fully grown kitty herself. She was a young mother and still has kitten energy and is just as playful as Shadow.
Shadow and Dawn are a bonded pair and will only be adopted together however having the both of them in a household is a blessing. Their relationship is everything you would want in a two cat household- they keep each other enriched with play and also never lonely with cuddles and grooming. They also lean on one another emotionally even though they are almost opposite personalities, but you are really getting the best of both worlds.
Dawn cannot wait to find her forever home and enjoy the rest of her life in a safe and happy home.

Our animals are rescued from various pounds and shelters and placed in Foster Care until a permanent home can be found. Our volunteer Foster Carers are located throughout Sydney, Australia and are only too happy to assist you.
DCH Animal Adoptions relies solely on our adoption fees and the generous support of the community to continue our rescue work. Many times, we are faced with large veterinary bills due to the illness and injury that comes along with looking after pound rescues.
