About Shadow
Shadow is a beautiful blue grey kitten with striking amber eyes, white socks and a white milk moustache. She has an innate passion for exploration and always appreciates a felt ball flicked her way. She is a high energy cat who loves play time everyday- chasing feather toys and her mothers tail. Shadow is a particularly confident cat and will adapt to new places very quickly, at her first vaccination she was even lounging on the vet's desk like she owned the place!
Initially living in a bushy area near a carpark with her mother as a stray, Shadow and her mother were taken in by her foster carers and domesticated within days. She was accepting physical touch and purring within the first 24 hours and since then has not seen a cold night out since.
She is bonded to her mother and will be adopted out as a pair which is an absolute blessing for any potential adopter. Shadow and her mother (Dawn) keep great company with each other, chasing each other and cuddling on a daily basis and enriching each others lives in the way only a mother and daughter could. Shadow still nurses on her mother from time to time for comfort even though Dawn is far past the point of producing milk.
Shadow is looking forward to finding her forever home with Dawn and cannot wait to befriend some new humans and explore some new places!

Our animals are rescued from various pounds and shelters and placed in Foster Care until a permanent home can be found. Our volunteer Foster Carers are located throughout Sydney, Australia and are only too happy to assist you.
DCH Animal Adoptions relies solely on our adoption fees and the generous support of the community to continue our rescue work. Many times, we are faced with large veterinary bills due to the illness and injury that comes along with looking after pound rescues.
