We’ve added some bonus upgrades to the archive feature for conversations which was rolled out earlier this year.
Recently, we received the following suggestion from one of our members who requested a quicker way to archive conversations in cases where the pet had scores of enquiries:
“Could you add a feature - when the cat is adopted - that the conversation can be archived then by an on-screen prompt. It's taking forever to go through 900+ conversations to archive the adopted cats.”
Our team took on this amazing suggestion and implemented a feature which lets you promptly archive all conversations when a pet is adopted with just one click, saving you heaps of time and automatically sending them through to the ‘archived’ filter in your conversations.
When you mark a pet as adopted, the following message will pop up:
When you click ‘archive all this pet’s conversations’, all of those pet’s conversations are safely filed and organised at once, and you no longer have to manually go to your conversations to archive them! 🎉
Clicking this will also prompt other users from your organisation, who will also get a notification once they log in, allowing them to directly archive those conversations from the notification bar, saving heaps of time! (as pictured below):
Please note: your conversations won’t disappear completely if you archive them! You can click ‘archived messages’ in your conversations to retrieve them (see image below):
If you receive a new message in any of the archived conversations, they’ll go back into your “Unread” conversations so that you don’t miss any important updates!
We’re always looking out for helpful feedback from our member rescue organisations! Some of the best features on PetRescue have been added thanks to awesome feedback. Be sure to join our Facebook group with your PetRescue account to keep sending us ideas/feedback and take part in collaborative discussions and polls to help make adoptions easier and breezier!
