Special boy Churros finds a home
If you’ve been keeping up with PetRescue, then you probably remember doe-eyed greyhound, Churros from Greyhound Rescue.
A snoot that you’d love to boop and a smile that breaks hearts, Churros was listed on PetRescue since 2018. Being a blind pet, Churros’ adoption was a special one. He was looking for a special human who could help him overcome his challenges. Just over a month ago Meg appeared and opened her home to this very good boy.
“After a lot of preparation for and a bit of trepidation about adopting a blind greyhound, I have to say that it has been by far and away the very best thing I have ever done. The joy, love and laughter that Chewy (Churros/ChuChu) brings to my life is phenomenal. Chewy is the most clever dog, who adapts to his surroundings and endears himself to all. He is intuitive, and people often don't believe he is actually blind. Chewy has settled in beautifully. After a short period of adjustment, he is a true adventurer, and loves to explore our area, going on extended sniffaris and drives in the car. He navigates his world in a way that is so amazing. He dances and hops with joy, and he is the most affectionate boy making friends with every person he meets. His foster family described him as a superstar, and I couldn't agree more.” ~ Meg
We love seeing special pets like Churros find a home. This wouldn’t be possible without pet lovers like you who open their hearts to all kinds of tails and paws.
It's incredible to amazing humans open their hearts and homes to specially-abled pets. The joy is changing a pet's life is like none other 🥰 Here’s what the PetRescue community says about caring for blind pets
