Pets are family, and for many Aussies doing it tough, that bond means putting their pet’s needs before their own. At Foodbank hubs across South Australia and the Northern Territory, it’s not uncommon to hear stories of people skipping meals so their pets don’t go without.
That’s why we’re thrilled to wrap up an incredible donation drive that made a big difference where it really counts.
In April and May, our friends at Wellness Pet Company continued their incredible support, donating 30 pallets of premium pet food, dental care, and treats valued at $61,592.00. That’s thousands of bellies filled, happy tails wagging, and meows of approval across the state and beyond.
This donation was delivered straight into the paws of Foodbank clients’ beloved pets, helping ease the pressure and keep families (furry ones included) safe, fed, and together.
As Foodbank SA & NT shared:
“Pets are such an important part of the family. Unfortunately, we know that many of our clients who experience food stress are skipping meals, so their pets don’t go without.
We are so grateful for the generous donations of nearly 30 pallets of pet food, pet dental care and pet treats from @petrescue and @Wellness Pet Company, to help feed pets in need.
These products have been distributed to Foodbank clients and their pets right across South Australia and the Northern Territory.
