This touching rescue from Victoria has seen little Skittles find his forever after surviving a very close call!
“He was found with his sister (the only two surviving babies of the litter) in a burnt-out house in Hoppers Crossing. The house was due for demolition that day when one of the workers found Skittles and his sis. Unfortunately his wee sister didn’t make it, secondary to malnutrition and dehydration. Luckily for us, Skittles pulled through as he is an absolute JOY!
“We adopted him from SCAR 2 weeks ago” says Skittles’ owner Sarah. “He was 8 weeks old at the time and is a beautiful ginger boy
“He settled in quickly and it didn't take long before he was cutting laps around the house and making himself very comfortable on our bed, both during the day and the night!
“Over the past few super hot days he has been enjoying laying flat as a pancake on the bathroom tiles, sitting in front of and smooching the fan, and is slowly getting use to being gently doused in cool water to help him stay healthy and happy!
“I love him to teeny tiny bits and make a point of telling him everyday... to which he stares back at me and then gives me a side glance with a slight hint of "yeah, you be a crazy lady!"
“Adopt, don’t shop, save lives.”
