About Paws and Recover
Paws and Recover – Paws and Recover is a registered Not For Profit Organisation establishing a social media following of volunteers to support people by sharing the care of their pets during a health crisis and difficult times.
Through a network of volunteers, Paws and Recover offers practical help such as dog walking, respite petcare, fostering, feeding, transporting pets to vets and support in assisting people care for their animals during times of illness and adversity
We aim to offer an alternative to people who feel they have no other options. We help people avoid rehoming, abandoning, neglecting or destroying a pet during their owner’s period of ill health.
While we are not a rehoming organisation, there are rare occasions where we find ourselves with animals needing new homes. This typically occurs when an owner sadly passes away or is unable to return to their pet due to permanent care needs. In these unique situations, we seek to re-home the few animals who find themselves in this position, ensuring they find loving, permanent homes.
