A small rescue group run by a veterinary nurse, who is dedicated to caring for special and high needs cats and kittens. We prioritise cats and kittens with disabilities, medical conditions, neurological issues, neglect cases, animals needing rehabilitation, neonatal and orphaned kittens, pregnant and nursing mothers, and other animals in genuine need.
If you would like to know more information about any of our rescue animals, our rescue group, or to arrange a meet and greet, please email us. Please provide us with your name, email address, contact number, and some information about yourself, and the home you have to offer one of our rescue animals.
Please understand that Gary and the Handicats is run by a Vet Nurse who works 2 jobs and also cares for sick and high needs rescue animals. We strive to get back to you within 24 hours, but during busy kitten seasons their may be a delay. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Please note we do not run on a "first in first served" basis. We screen applicants well before proceeding with adoption. Vet and rental references may be required for certain special needs adoptions.
We receive a large amount of interest in our handraised kittens, and certain special needs animals. Please understand that if you're application isn't successful, this may just be due to the amount of applications we have had for that particular animal, and not because of the home you have to offer. Preference is always given to our past adopters.
