Meet Jester! Jester and his sister Bramble arrived into our care a few months ago after being caught living in someones backyard. Their mother has lived in a couples backyard as an non-socialised cat for quite a few years. We took in his other two sick kittens (Milton and Clive) when they were 5 weeks old. Jester and his sister Bramble remained with their mum until they were able to be caught and surrendered into our care.
Jester spent her first 12 weeks of life living a bit too freely, and was very scared when he came into care. He is now a completely different cat, he loves human attention and will run to you for a pat and some fuss. He likes to gently be held, and love to sleep with his humans at night. Jester would suit a home with cats, and would be okay with gentle dogs with the correct introductions. He would also suit a home with older children who can play with him and give him cuddles. Jester is in care with his sister Bramble who he is very bonded to. Ideally we would like to find them a home together, however we will consider rehoming them separately to the right families.
Please get in touch if you would like to meet with little Jester. 🐾
Adoption details
If you would like to know more information about any of our rescue animals, our rescue group, or to arrange a meet and greet, please email us. Please provide us with your name, email address, contact number, and some information about yourself, and the home you have to offer one of our rescue animals.
About us:
Gary and the Handicats Rescue is run soley by a Vet Nurse who works shift work and also cares for sick and high needs rescue animals. We strive to get back to you within 24 hours, but during busy kitten seasons there may be a delay. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Please note we do not run on a "first in first served" basis. We screen applicants well before proceeding with adoption. Vet and rental references may be required for certain special needs adoptions.
We receive a large amount of interest in our handraised kittens, and certain special needs animals. Please understand that if you're application isn't successful, this may just be due to the amount of applications we have had for that particular animal, and not because of the home you have to offer. Preference is always given to our past adopters.
Meet and Greets:
• Meet and greets are held in an environment where the particular cat or kitten feels most comfortable.
• Please do not bring your own animals to a meet and greet.
• We do not allow any of our animals to be taken home on the day of the meet and greet. Special circumstances may be considered.
Picking up you're new family member:
• You MUST bring a safe, secure, and size appropriate carrier for your baby to travel home in. We do not have carriers to provide new adopters, and we will not send home one of our rescue animals in a cardboard box or a washing basket. If a carrier isn't able to be provided, your adoption will be cancelled.
