About DM Rescue
We are a not-for-profit charity dedicated to supporting regional pound animals. Thanks to the incredible generosity and commitment of our community, we have grown significantly and now support dogs across areas spanning from Brisbane to Melbourne.
Our core mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome homeless dogs throughout NSW and VIC. We prioritise at-risk animals located in local pounds and within the community, giving them a genuine second chance at a safe, loving, and permanent home.
Before adoption, every dog in our care receives essential veterinary treatment to ensure they are microchipped, vaccinated, parasite-free, and desexed. This ensures each animal’s health and wellbeing while preventing the ongoing cycle of unwanted and abandoned pets.
To further reduce unplanned litters, we offer a Last Litter Program for private puppy surrenders. This program provides discounted desexing when part of a litter is surrendered, or free desexing when the entire litter is surrendered, ensuring the mother is desexed and helping to reduce future overpopulation within our communities.
Our rescue operates exclusively through foster-based care. As such, we are only able to accept dogs that can be safely housed with other dogs.
