About Shepparton Animal Shelter
The Shepparton Animal Shelter is the ideal place to visit if you are looking for your lost pet or for a new addition to the family. The Shelter is owned and operated by the Greater Shepparton City Council. Our dedicated team cares for a variety of different lost, surrendered or abandoned animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, poultry, goats, cattle, sheep and horses.
Animals that enter the Shelter Adoption program undergo veterinary assessments and treatment (including vaccinations, worming, flea treatment, microchipping and de-sexing) and a behaviour evaluation and rehabilitation prior to adoption (as required).
The Shelter also works with various Community Foster Care Networks and Animal Shelters across Victoria to assist animals in finding a home.
