About Prickly Moses
Hi everybody! My name is Prickly Moses but I am in no way prickly at all!
I am a 4 year old male Staffy Cross weighing in at a healthy 37kg - most of that being my huge boof of a head!
I was found as a stray in rural NSW scavenging amongst rubbish bins, so I have no idea of my history.
My foster Mum says I am the most beautifully natured boy and would keep me if only my foster brother wasn’t such a grumpy old man and would play with me.I have been trying really hard to make friends with him but unfortunately my love for him is unrequited. I accept that though and don’t push his boundaries so we have gotten along fine.
Things I love:
Cuddles
Cheese
Frolicking around the backyard - rope toy in mouth
Tug of war
Looking out the window at all the passing traffic.
Cuddles
Chasing a ball around the backyard.
Cuddles
Did I mention cuddles??
Things I am not so sure of yet:
I’m still hesitant to get in the car but can be coaxed in with some high value treats - once in the car I travel like a dream though.
I am a very strong boy on the lead and super excited when I see other dogs so can pull quite a bit but my foster Mum got me a funny harness thing with a front attachment so I am slowly learning how to walk nicely on the lead. I would love a family who will have time and patience to keep working on this with me.
I am house trained and know how to sit but I haven’t had much training before now other than that. I would love to continue my training and though I am not super food orientated I do really love cuddles and praise and really want to make my new family happy.
I haven’t been left alone very much but when I have been, I have been settled on the couch and not jumped up or been anxious when my foster Mum came home. I am still working out the doggy door so she has left the back door open for me.
I would love a doggy friend of similar size to play tug of war and wrestle with but I think I would be fine as an only dog as long as I have lots of human company and…dare I say it again….cuddles. I would love to be the centre of your world and will return your love 100 times over.
I have not been tested with children or cats yet but have met some children on the beach and have been gentle when they have wanted a pat. I do forget that I’m a bit too big to be a lap dog, so perhaps older children would be best as I have no concept of my own size.
My foster Mum is going to miss me terribly but she knows that I deserve a home where I am truly loved by all members of the family whether they be human or canine. I will be your snuggle buddy and constant companion and will love you with everything that I have.
