About Lizzie B
LIZZIE B
Alaskan Malamute x Siberian Husky x German Shepherd
Female (Desexed)
Born - 27 February 2022
Located - Kingsgrove, NSW
Interstate Adoption - Yes
Allow me to introduce myself, I'm a lady of many names. You see my OG is literally used to the extremes, further complicated by the fact one of my fursiblings has the same name. Apparently it became too confusing when trying to keep the pack in line - silly humans, you obviously weren't directing that reprimand at perfect me.
After being known as Miss L for a while the 'rentals settled with Lizzie on account of how regal I am. The "B" was added in honour of Lizzie Borden in an attempt to balance my yin to your yang.
With a wealth of intellect behind my golden orbs I am a unique combination of homage towards my genetic makeup. Headstrong, bossy and calmly wise like the malamute. The comedic ADHD tendancies of the husky. A smidge of anxiousness with that inherent desire to please that comes with the GSD.
Very much still a blank canvass in terms of the learning and growing that comes with constant exposure to life's experiences, I do best within a world of structure and routine. Friendly, and well behaved with exposure to toddlers right up to the elderly, my gentle nature will prevail but, as a responsible dog owner you must understand that I am a work in progress in two key areas.
Coming off the back of feelings of displacement I can be protective of my chosen human and will resource guard my toys to boot. Although there's warning growls aplenty with no actual follow through in these instances, it's up to you to be responsible, continue with my desensitisation training and importantly not set me up for failure. Don't be frightened I'm a sponge who shines under your guidance. But, I am also not for a novice dog owner.
Extremely gifted when it comes to communicating with my fellow kind I do well with dogs of all sizes. Just make sure the little ones are still breathing as I like to sit on them in play. Always happy to make a new friend initial introductions should be by way of pack walk. It's for this reason I am not and likely won't ever be a dog park sort of gal.
Aside from my recovery period (see medical notes below) I've never really been alone. The quickest way to overcome my mild to moderate levels of separation anxiety is to provide me with canine company of my very own. Otherwise be prepared for some construction works along your fenceline in my quest to find the nearest human to partake in tea and crumpets.
If you're after a solo child this may be possible but I come with several considerations. Firstly, you can't be gone for the majority of the day. For when you simply must leave me alone you will provide me with a she-cave and a bone for company. Importantly, you will also find me regular play friends to keep up with my sociability.
In search of a family to centre my world will you allow me to rule yours?
P.S. My ears do stand up.
