About Tinkerbell
Hi there, my name is Tinkerbell (Tink) and I’m a 1 year old Kelpie female who hasn’t had the best start to life due to abuse.
I use to live on a rural station in NSW. I was trained as a Stockmans dog, so all basic commands are new to me.
Majority of my time in foster care was spent forming relationships with my humans so I will need someone committed to continuing my training with positive reinforcement (and lots of treats!)
I was an extremely timid and scared to start with. I found a safe place in my crate and did a lot of observing from there initially and am now fully crate and house trained. It didn’t take too long for me to adapt to suburban life and realize I was safe with my foster carers.
I’ve come into a foster home with 2 older dogs who snooze their days away inside when we’re not out exploring and Ive also enjoyed the quiet lifestyle, and day napping. I look forward to my daily walks and am getting use to being on a lead.
I’m a very gentle sweet girl. I’m proving to love affection, cuddles on the couch, belly rubs, playing with my new toys and meeting dogs when we’re out and about.
I’m still weary of any new visitors to the house and males in general. I may be a little hesitant initially but am learning very fast that not all humans are bad. I just need the assurance and love I deserve.
I would be best suited to a family or person more home than not. Someone who is calm and patient and someone who has a a lot of love to give and who wants me to be part of their lifestyle.
A dog friend would be a bonus!
