Mitzi is one of the sweetest boys you will ever have the joy of loving. He is quiet, gentle and his happiest spot is snoozing on your lap, by your feet, or in bed with his head on your belly. Where you go, Mitzi will follow.

Mitzi also adores meeting people and will trust new human friends immediately and implicitly. You have nothing to prove with Mitzi! He shows his trust by leaning his entire body against new human friends for pats and rubs. His foster parents say he has a playful side that it starting to emerge as he becomes more comfortable. His foster parents also love that he’s not a morning person - he’s the last one to wake in the house.

Mitzi is around one year old and was found wandering the streets in rural NSW with some kelpie mates. We think Mitzi’s heritage is likely part greyhound, part staffy and part kelpie.

In his short time in foster care, Mitzi has learnt how to sit, sleep in his crate, and do his business outside. He is a very smart boy and learns very quickly (with treats).

Exercise wise, Mitzi loves a daily walk to sniff and explore the world, but he doesn’t require you to have an active lifestyle. He requires further training to walk on a lead as he loves to smell everything, however is responding well to learning how to pace his steps.

Mitzi is dog friendly, however he should be in a home where he’s the only fur baby so he can get all your attention. Mitzi hasn’t been tested on human babies or cats.
