About Marty Deeks
Marty Deeks (Marty) is an energetic, smoochy and inquisitive two-year-old boy and quite an all-rounder. He loves human company, playtime, getting lots of pats and will take as much attention as you can provide.
He has been with us for a little while and has settled in well after finding the experience of living in the shelter a bit too stressful. During this time, Marty has become a confident and inquisitive cat that loves to be around people, whether it's following someone around the house or sitting on the sofa in the evening. Anyone that strokes his thick, shiny coat is greeted by loud purrs and he is quick to roll over, present his snow-white tummy and stretch out for a good long scratch. He can be quite a vocal boy when he feels more attention is needed!
Marty is very playful and loves all kinds of toys, but really enjoys chasing balls and kangaroo kicking furry mice and birds or anything with feathers - he could literally play for hours.
Marty has been introduced to our own two cats and they get on for the most part, however he does like to be centre stage! Although he could live in a household with another friendly feline, we believe he is probably best suited to a home where he is the only cat so that he can lap up all the attention. His ideal household could be one with children as they could match his energy levels and provide him with plenty of stimulation. In return, Marty would be a loyal family companion and an additional member to engage with and talk to.
He shouldn't take much time to adjust and find his confidence in a new environment. Once you gain his trust, he will thrive. #indooronly #catcompatible
Medical Notes
Marty Deeks is suspected of having a condition called Juvenile Gingivitis. Many cats will grow out of this issue before approximately 2 years of age, however some will have the condition for life.
Marty Deeks has a skin condition called Feline Acne or Chin Acne. It is not known what causes this skin reaction, though it is usually mild and manageable. Using stainless steel or ceramic bowls rather than plastic often assists.
Marty Deeks has a condition called epiphora, sometimes known as blocked tear ducts. This condition has most likely formed as a result of a previous flu infection. Blocked tear ducts can cause the under or over production of tears, and can predispose your cat to eye infections. Therefore they may require intermittent treatment throughout their life.
Marty Deeks located with his foster family in Bayswater.

Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
