About Charlie
Hi, I'm Charlie!
I'm a proud mini-Foxie Terrier. Life hasn't always been easy for me, but I'm here, hoping to find someone special who will understand and love me just the way I am.
You see, my early days were spent in a difficult home where I witnessed things that made me anxious and wary of the world around me. I didn't get the chance to make doggy friends or learn how to interact with them properly. As a result, I find it challenging to get along with other dogs.
But despite my fears and uncertainties, I've always been told that I'm beautiful in nature. I like to think that's true. I'm a super intelligent pup, and I'm a quick problem solver! My previous human companion and I had a special bond. They needed my help, and I became their support dog, alerting them whenever they were in distress. It made me feel important and loved.
Recently, I faced a heartbreaking loss when my beloved human passed away. My world turned upside down, and my potty training regressed. I felt lost and unsure of what life had in store for me.
But let me tell you about the real me! I have so much love to give. When I feel safe and secure, I become the most caring and loyal companion you could ever wish for. I have this vivacious energy that makes me want to run around, play, and engage with you. I love my food and just being a dog, cherishing every moment of life.
I dream of finding a home where someone understands my anxieties and is patient with me as I learn to trust again. It would be wonderful to have a place where I can have my own hideout, a safe spot to retreat to when I need some comfort. I've learned that I prefer a home without kids. They can be a bit too overwhelming for me, and I want to ensure that both they and I are happy and comfortable. I’m hoping to find someone who could be home more often to keep me company and help me adjust to my new surroundings. As much as I love human company, I have to admit I've never been a fan of sharing the spotlight with other pets. So, a home where I can be the only four-legged friend would be the paw-fect fit for me.
If you're ready to open your heart to a special pup like me, please consider giving me a forever home. Are you the one who will give me a second chance at happiness? Together, we can create beautiful memories and embark on a journey of healing and companionship. I'm ready to shower you with unconditional love and be your loyal, devoted friend forever.
Medical notes
Vaccinations, desexing, microchips, and heartworm checks are provided by the rescue.
If there is outstanding vet work, the rescue will organise it with one of their partner vets. If the adopter would like to take over the vet work at their own cost to their own vet, this can be transferred.
