About Quincy SUA011437
Say hello to Quincy, a heart-warmingly affectionate senior gentleman who brings a calm and respectful aura to his surroundings. Quincy isn't your typical lap cat, but he's more than happy to sit beside you, keeping you in delightful company for hours on end.
One of Quincy's favourite pastimes is savouring his meals. Being a food enthusiast, he's quite particular about his feeding times and eagerly looks forward to them.
Despite his senior status, Quincy still enjoys a good play session. He has a cherished collection of favourite toys, and witnessing his upbeat interaction with them is a sight to behold. Quincy is impressively adaptable and takes new environments in his stride, radiating positivity and good vibes.
When it comes to friendships, Quincy likes to take things slow. He prefers to spend a couple of days getting to know people, proving that good things truly do come to those who wait!
As an indoor only gentleman, Quincy's gleaming white coat needs protection from the sun to avoid damaging his ears and nose. Regular brushing keeps his coat silky smooth and mat-free. Being a senior, Quincy has a sensitivity to the cold, so a heat pad on those chillier nights is a must, and a cozy spot to relax would certainly be appreciated.
Medical notes
As expected of a senior Quincy does have some mild age related issues.
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
