About Oliver David
Oliver David ("Davey") is a gentle and affectionate boy aged 2 years 2 months.
He is a short-haired grey tabby with a white bib and paws.
Davey likes being around humans and actively seeks out company. He's a gentle boy who wants human companionship. He is ideally suited to a family or other multi-person home.
Davey has the loveliest trills and 'prupps' when he chats to you. He also likes to quietly sidle up to you and give you a gentle rub against your lower legs while you are at work in the kitchen.
Davey was rescued from a farm at approximately 6 weeks of age. Their mother had been killed on the road and the farmer did not want them there.
Over time, and with much patience by his foster carer, Davey has grown into an affectionate boy who loves pats and cuddles. We expect his personality to grow further once he is out of a multi-cat foster environment.
Davey loves to chase balls, play with toy mice and anything on a string. Although he likes a lot of company, he is also happy being on his own for some of the time.
Although Davey has lived in a multi-foster cat household, he is still learning to share his humans with other cats. For this reason we recommend him to live as a sole cat, or with chilled/playful female cat.
Davey has not been around dogs during his time in foster care. He is likely to be able to cope with well-behaved dogs, but would need a gradual introduction.
Davey has no experience of young children, but would likely make an excellent pet for a young person. He'd love the companionship of teenagers as well.
Davey is best suited to a house, as he likes to have space to play. A unit with a secure outdoor run would also work for him.
We recommend West Vic Cats are given 3-4 weeks to settle into their new homes. The upheaval of leaving their foster home and a long car ride can sometimes cause cats stress. That stress will subside after they have had time to adjust to their new surroundings.
West Vic Cats guarantee they will accept the return of any cat or kitten adopted from us. If a kitten or cat is returned to us within 4 weeks after their adoption we will refund our adoption fee in full.
As we want our West Vic Cats to have long and healthy lives, we have a strict policy of adopting to indoors-only households. Of course, if you have a protected cat-run outside, that is fine. West Vic Cats have all had difficult starts in life, we want their next 20 years to be happy and safe ones!
With West Vic Cats' guarantee of accepting returns within four weeks after adoption and their policy of adopting cats to indoors-only households, you can rest assured that Davey will have a long and safe life in the comfort of your home.
Medical notes
