Tiny Dancer

Hi... my name is Tiny Dancer. My foster mum calls me her cute little baby Ellie though, and she gives me lots of kisses to prove it.

I think I am a 1 year old staffy x border collie and I was surrendered with my friend Penny Lane (who is a foster to adopt) to a rural NSW pound. Here I was saved by MPDRI and have been in foster care.

I’m so glad my foster mum saved my life, because I now know there is so much to live for with my special hooman, and I have so much love to give.
What I want so desperately is to be loved and cuddled by my forever family and I'll return that to you in bucketfuls every day...I just can’t wait to see what’s ahead for our lives together.

I just love everyone, especially other people, kids and pups I can play with and run around with and just be a kid with, ‘cause I’ve not had much time to be that doggy yet. You see I’ve had my own babies to look after, who I loved by the way, but I’m only 12 months old I think, so now it’s my turn to be me.

I love kids ‘cause they’re just like me.....playful, a bit mischievous and full of energy. Sometimes I forget how playful I can be, and my foster mum helps me to be calm, which I’m learning more and more. I’m a very good girl too she says, ‘cause I sit when she reminds me to, especially when she gives us all food, and oh my I love my food!! Mum's such a good cook and I love my dinner, and those yummy, meaty bones we all get in the morning. I’m in heaven, I think!

I like to be helpful too! I keep bringing mum her shoes and socks so she knows where they are. Not sure why she gets annoyed though, ‘cause I'm just making sure she doesn't lose them.
There is so much I love now. I love long walks, and I’m learning to heel sometimes, which I’m so proud of, and walking on a loose lead is so good!!! I know I get excited when we go out, but you see, there’s so much to see and so many smells to smell. I love running, chasing those pesky rabbits who dig holes, and those possums who run around on the roof, and chasing birds in the dam. Wish I could fly! My foster mum says I’m so clever and learn so quickly that I might even learn one day.

Oh yeah, and I love snuggling on the couch with my doggy mum Ribar (she's had puppies before), and my foster mum - they just get me. I feel so safe that I just melt into their arms (ssshh ... they keep me warm too!!). My big foster brother thinks he’s the boss, but little does he know I’ll melt his heart too (he does let me lie on his bed with him sometimes so I’m getting there).

I heard mum talking about something called a cat the other day - haven’t met one yet but if it’s someone else I can play with and cuddled with I’m sure I’ll love them. I did get a bit scared when I came home first when mum gave me a bath. Was so strange to have water on me like that. I’ll reserve my judgement on that one for now! I’m pretty sure having these beauty treatments will be heaven though...mum told me so and I trust her!

I really, really want to meet you, so please can we have a play date? I promise I’ll be a good girl and then you can see how I’ll just gaze into your eyes with a huge amount of love for ever and ever.

“Will you be my special Hooman?.... please, please, please. I promise to love you, do what you tell me to do, eat all my dinner and go to bed when I'm tired (with you of course so you can wake up in the morning with me gazing into your eyes and licking your face). We will have so much fun, and we can be best friends forever.
